Dear All,
It’s that time of year again … Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day! Staff were invited to wear their festive jumpers on Friday 10th and 17th December 2021 for a £2 donation in support of Save the Children. (You are still able to donate by Clicking Here or scanning the QR code below.) Whether you are working from home or enjoying a day out, wear your sparkliest, cheeriest jumper and help us raise money to support their important work!
In 2021 Save the Children launched their new 3-year strategy ‘Let’s make better possible’ – which aims to make lasting change for and with children who need it most. Whilst Save the Children is known for its humanitarian work globally, in the UK they work in homes, nurseries, schools and communities to narrow the gap between children living in poverty and their better-off classmates. When COVID-19 struck, UK children’s lives were turned upside-down and Save the Children started an Emergency Grant for the worst-affected families and so far has helped more than 10,000 of Britain’s poorest children with early-learning packs, food vouchers and other essentials.
Save the Children was founded on the belief that every child should have the chance to be who they are and become who they want to be. This belief remains at the heart of the organisation today and is the driving force behind their strategy to work with and for children to help them see what’s possible and realise their potential.
