DDCAP MD, Stella Cox and Deputy CEO Lawrence Oliver were delighted to accept an invitation to participate in the Islamic Finance Talent East and West Conference organised by the University of East London on the 11th of November 2015 at Canary Wharf Executive Development Centre One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, UK. The conference was aimed at bridging the gap between talent development and the opportunities in the Islamic finance industry
The keynote address was delivered by Baroness Sayeeda Warsi former UK Government Cabinet Minister who spoke on the steps Britain and London should take in connecting with its own Muslim communities.
Ms. Cox, acting in the capacity of Chair, TheCityUK Islamic Finance Market Advisory Group and also a member of the University of East London Islamic Finance Advisory Board was invited to contribute on the Session on Global Industry Needs and Demands while Mr. Oliver contributed on another session at the conference titled Growing Islamic Finance Capacity and Standards.
